The “Whip” was a favorite ride for family adventurers and snuggling couples. The more aggressive-inclined visitors preferred the bumper cars. And, to the chagrin of proper society, the so-called “naughty crowd” gravitated to the infamous uncensored coin-operated Mutoscope and Kinetoscope machines in the Purgatory Springs Arcades.
